About me...

Hello, and welcome. I’m Amanda!

I’m a Clinical Social Worker licensed in Kansas and Missouri, and I was born and raised right here in Kansas City. This community means a lot to me, and I feel grateful to be able to do this work in a place I call home.

I earned my degree in Sociology from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, and later continued my education at the University of Kansas, where I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Welfare.

During my graduate program, I had a practicum experience that really shaped my path and helped me realize how meaningful it is to sit with others, listen to their stories, and offer support in a genuine way.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and centered around you as a whole person. I draw from person-centered, trauma-informed, emotion-focused, and strengths-based approaches, while also honoring the impact of culture, identity, and systems in our lives. I’m trained in EMDR and am a Registered Play Therapist.

I work with people of all ages and offer sessions in both English and Spanish. I truly believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you—to support, guide, and create a space where you feel safe to explore whatever brings you here.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and you don’t have to have it all figured out. Whether you’re seeking healing, clarity, or just someone to listen, you’re welcome here.
